May 18, 2012, at 1:30 pm, an international symposium on retail management was held in the main building. The guest speaker was professor Evans of Canada Ryerson University Business School. Professor Ni Yuefeng, Head of Marketing Department of Beijing Institute of Technology School of Management and Economics chaired the Symposium.
Professor Evans delivered a keynote speech on the retail management with detailed explanation on regional characteristics of the retail industry, motivation of the international expansion of retail, and success and failure cases of retail internationalization.
